Install a VerifySeal seal on Plesk

Add the seal with Plesk File Manager and place the callback file under the selected domain’s httpdocs directory.

Website installation

Step-by-step instructions

    Open the website files

    In Plesk open Websites & Domains, select the registered domain and choose File Manager. The usual Linux document root is httpdocs.

  2. 2

    Open the layout file

    Back up and edit the footer, layout, HTML or PHP file that renders the public location where the seal will be displayed.

  3. 3

    Add the live embed

    Paste the Recommended JavaScript embed in the code or text editor. Do not use a visual editor that rewrites script tags.

  4. 4

    Confirm the result

    Save the file, clear caches and click the live seal. Check that the public certificate shows the expected organization and website.

Domain ownership callback

Complete domain validation on Plesk

Use the unique callback code displayed on the customer order. Never reuse a code from another domain or application.

    Create a .well-known folder inside the registered domain’s httpdocs directory.

  2. 2

    Create verifyseal.txt in that folder and enter the order callback code on its own line. Add other VerifySeal codes on separate lines.

  3. 3

    Test the exact HTTPS callback URL before running the VerifySeal domain check.

The complete 300 × 106 seal is visible and not cropped on desktop or mobile.

Clickable

The seal opens the VerifySeal public certificate rather than a copied local image.

Current

The certificate status is verified, the expiry is current and the details match.

Correct domain

The registered production hostname matches the website displaying the seal.

  • Windows Plesk subscriptions can use a different document-root layout; always use the document root displayed for the selected domain.
