Website installation

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

    Back up the active template

Before editing WISECP template files, download a copy of the active website template and record the current software version.

  2. 2

    Choose a maintained location

Use a custom page HTML area when possible. For a site-wide footer, edit the active template footer without removing existing WISECP variables or JavaScript.

  3. 3

    Paste the VerifySeal embed

Insert the Recommended JavaScript embed where the seal should render, normally before the footer closing container.

  4. 4

    Clear cache and test

Clear WISECP template cache if enabled, open the public website and confirm the seal and certificate link work before applying an update.

Domain ownership callback

Complete domain validation on WISECP

Use the unique callback code displayed on the customer order. Never reuse a code from another domain or application.

  1. 1

Use the hosting File Manager for the WISECP domain and create /.well-known/verifyseal.txt in its public document root.

  2. 2

Put the callback code on its own line; other VerifySeal codes may use separate lines. Do not place the file inside the WISECP application directories.

  3. 3

Confirm the callback URL is publicly accessible and is not redirected to a WISECP route.

Testing checklist

Confirm the installation is working

01

Visible

The complete 300 × 106 seal is visible and not cropped on desktop or mobile.

02

Clickable

The seal opens the VerifySeal public certificate rather than a copied local image.

03

Current

The certificate status is verified, the expiry is current and the details match.

04

Correct domain

The registered production hostname matches the website displaying the seal.

Platform notes
  • Keep a record of template changes because replacing a full WISECP theme can overwrite direct edits.
